#PublicInterestTech Campaign
Overview
The yearlong Public Interest Tech campaign is a Webby Honoree whose main goal is to develop a path for individuals to use their technology skills to change the world for the better. That can mean researching the negative side effects of using artificial intelligence in our criminal justice system, developing technical standards that emphasize privacy and free expression, or working to ensure that as the US census goes online for the first time, it is accessible and accurate.
The campaign used illustration as a way to develop an approachable human-centric identity that helps bring people into the growing field and communicate it’s abstract ideas.
